Make a Stadium Blanket

Description: How to make an easy stadium blanket for fall.

Brrrrrr, the cold weather is here. Sports fans are out in droves for hockey and football. For this easy, warm blanket I used scraps of old jogging suits and leftovers from sewing projects. All fleeces. Different colours, different types, but all warm and snug. If you have team colours, so much the better.
Here's how to make your own:
Cut 6" squares of all types of fleece. This is recycling in its true form, those old jogging suits and jackets that were ready for the dumpster can now be used.
Sew together and serge all your seam allowances. When I ran out of one colour, I simply started with another. No rhyme nor reason. Then simply serge all around the outside edges. When I was sewing this together, I emptied all my bobbins, using every colour imaginable.
Are my corners meeting perfectly, no! This is not couture, this is wash 'n' wear warmth.
Make it wide enough to cover your lap, and long enough to cover your legs but not so long you are tripping on it.
This blanket is totally washable, warm and snug and you can embellish some of the blocks with team logos or colours.
