Make a Cute Pumpkin Bib
by Mary Wilkins
Description: How to make a baby's pumpkin bib for Halloween.
The smallest ones will look so debonair this
Halloween with their very own pumpkin bib! It is
reversible as well, so it does double duty in a
pinch.
All you need is two pieces of fabric approx. 15"
long x 12" wide and batting the same size. Two
pieces of hook and loop tape about 1" long.
Cut an oval about the size of a dinner platter or a
placemat from all 3 pieces.
Cutting in thru the middle approx. 6" from one
narrow end. Cut a circle large enough to go around
baby's neck. Round all edges as you see in the
picture.
Now, layer batting on bottom, two fabrics right
sides together on top of batting. Starting at one
long edge stitch around outer edge. Stitch to within
2" of where you started. Leave opening to turn bib
right side out. Trim edges to eliminate bulk and
turn right side out. Top stitch entire outer edge in black thread,
catching in opening as you go.
Draw funny face on the front and go over it several
times with black thread to make it more visible.
Stitch one side of hook and loop tape to right side
of one end. Stitch other side to wrong side of other
end.
