Description: Tips for making a homemade butterfly birthday card.
Materials:
- Lilac Cardstock
- Glossy Paper
- Watercolor Crayons
- Vintage Butterfly Transparency
- Deerfoot brush or small sponge
- Scissors/paper trimmer
- Adhesives including vellum tape
Instructions:
- Cut lilac cardstock to size needed for card - I used 5.5" x 8.5" folded in half.
- Cut glossy paper about 1/2" smaller on each side to card front (4.5" x 3.25").
- Take aquamarine water color crayon and color around edge of the glossy paper as shown below:
- Wet deerfoot brush or sponge (not dripping wet) and pounce on aquamarine coloring until it is all blotted. Let dry.
- Color the same with lilac:
- Pounce with wet brush/sponge. Pounce a little lilac on the aquamarine. Let dry.
- Cut transparency out and attach to the front of the card with vellum tape (doesn't show through transparency).
