Eight Easy Ways to Make a Candle
by Marjorie Slaney

Description: Easy tips for making candles.

Quite a few of us have a passion for candles. Candles are utilized every single day by many people for numbers of various things. Some of us think of wax candles when the power goes out, we put them on birthday cakes and we sometimes use them to add a nice scent to our house. Candles can set the tone for a smashing event or a relaxing lava bath. There are so many awesome things to do with candles.

However, if you have ever purchased wax candles, you know that they could often be very expensive indeed. & you typically get what you pay for which equates that the cheap products are not worth what you go through to buy one. Since the low cost candles are not good and better candles can cost too much money, you might be wondering if you have any alternative choices. Well, guess what? You do! You can always produce your own.

Producing your own ones is not quite as hard as you may imagine and we’re going to tell you exactly how to carry it out. All you have to do is simply read on and get yourself a few supplies and you will be creating your own hand created wax candles in a very short time.

Before you get under way, you are going to need to go to an art supplies shop to buy some ingredients for your project. The great news is that the supplies are easy to get and affordable. All you require is a small amount special paraffin wax and some wicks. Then you will also require coloring and scents of your choosing. You also require a double boiler, a wooden spoon and a stove. A thermometer will also help you confirm the water is the right temperature for creating candles.

Candle Production

1. Now that you have purchased supplies, you are definitely prepared to get going. Take your wax and break it up into smallish parts.

2. Now boil the water in the special water boiler and add the broken wax. Now use your thermometer and be confident the wax gets up to 160 degrees.

3. Stir the candle wax and put in your colour choice a little at a time until you achieve the target colour.

4. Now you should also put in the scent if you are going to use one. Be certain the wax stays the right temperature during the mixing and adding.

5. Now cut down your candle making wicks to the length you desire. Commence dipping the candle wick into the heated wax.

6. Pull some wick out and allow it to cool. Continue dipping and cooling until the candle is the length you had in mind.

7. Continue with this process until you dip for the very last time and let the candle cool to the desired temperature.

8. When it is totally cooled, you can commence to slice away any extra candlewick and your new candle is now in a condition to utilize.
